Environmentally friendly and Sustainable

Sustainability is gaining more attention in society. Responsible management of raw materials and energy have financial aspects as well as an important moral dimension. Keeping the environment healthy for our children is a big responsibility. The need for corporate responsibility is nothing new to our company. In the last millennium we had already launched a number of measures that would contribute positively to the environment.

All waste in our company is separated at source.Waste bins are  to be found in every department holding paper, plastic, wood, metal and or rubbish. The bins are emptied into our in-store container storage. The containers holding plastic and paper are exchanged when they are full, the contents of which,are then sent  for  recycling. All metal waste undergoes a second sorting where a distinction is made with coated and uncoated metal and other types of metals:as steel, stainless steel and aluminium are separately offered for recycling.

Clean wooden waste is shredded then stored in a silo where two incinerators generate the heat  for three buildings with a floor area of 30.000 m² and two degreasing baths belonging to the powder coating  plants.

Our logistics centre, built in 2001,has a specially built rain water tank in the basement with a  total capacity of 1.000 m³. The water is collected from over 10.000 m² of roof  area. The water is used for the powder coating plant’s degreasing baths also for flushing the toilets in the logistics .centre
