1 March 2019 was the big day: the inauguration of the fully renovated La Place in Roermond! Just 13 weeks earlier, the restaurant chain had approached Van Keulen Interieurbouw, asking them to come up with a brand-new concept for its interior. A few weeks after the opening, we spoke to Carlos Zegelaar, Project Manager at RBM.

“I have been working with Van Keulen for over 15 years now. Their latest project in Roermond is undoubtedly one of their most successful ones so far. Van Keulen Interieurbouw was able to anticipate any last-minute changes from beginning to end. During the set-up of the interiors, some of the furnishings could not be delivered in full, yet at the opening, the restaurant looked impeccable. That goes to show it’s not about the obstacles you find on your way, but about how you tackle them.”

The renovated La Place concept is a real success. “And that calls for a striking interior,” says Zegelaar. La Place promises its guests 100% natural products. With this in mind, most of the work surfaces are made of natural stone. The key values behind the entire concept are balance, honesty and delicious flavours. The restaurant has a very warm and homely atmosphere, which makes its guests feel right at home.
