Three years ago, Margo Kruytzer took over Kruytzer Optiek en Optometrie from her parents. And that did not go unnoticed in Horst in the province of North Limburg.

Because since Margo took over at the helm, the business has undergone a total metamorphosis. “Over the course of 40 years, we developed from an optician to an eye care specialist. As a result, we’ve established an excellent reputation and image in North Limburg. When I took over from my parents, I had lots of ideas and plans for modernising the business. The location we’d been in for 40 years was too restrictive. We’d outgrown our premises, so I went looking for a new location.”

Margo found new premises on Kerkstraat in Horst, right next door to the church. “The new shop is 3 times larger than the old one. So it’s big, with plenty of space for the professional equipment used by our 5 optometrists and contact lens specialist and our carefully selected and extensive collections of glasses and sunglasses. However, we didn’t want to turn it into a colossus, but a business with a stylish and modern interior and a warm, personal ambiance. Furthermore, in our unique concept, we wanted each department to be separately identifiable, without creating a standard interior for an optical business.”

Margo is delighted with the result. Her special wishes were implemented by Van Keulen Interieurbouw. “We came into contact with them via our architect and builder who had already enjoyed worked with Van Keulen Interieurbouw. And that’s been my experience too.”
