Van Keulen Interieurbouw is a company of international standing. We therefore can be found all over the world! Last year our team of engineers travelled to the faraway Suriname for a special project!

Kuldipsingh is a leading company in Suriname, which stands for high-quality building materials and construction-related services. Kuldipsingh called in the professional help of Van Keulen Interieurbouw for the design of the new DIY shop. ‘For this project we were looking for an exclusive interior designer, who could create a true “wow” effect,’ says Jerry Sadiek.

‘Van Keulen Interieurbouw responded quickly. This left a good first impression and all specific wishes were discussed in no time. Bert Verweij travelled to Suriname for a personal introduction and to explain their services in more detail. The drawings followed soon after this meeting, after which it was only a matter of measuring and fitting.’

Van Keulen was able to improvise when required and communication between the various building partners also went smoothly.

Jerry Sadiek

After a short break in the process, Jerry flew to the Netherlands. Here he was given a 3D presentation of the project to be realised. The final numbers and operational details were established, including workforce planning and the logistics process. This challenging project required proper preparation.

September 2018 all materials were shipped to Suriname and the first work started October. All obstacles regarding structural engineering were professionally cleared. Van Keulen was able to improvise when required and communication between the various building partners also went smoothly. After the first trial week, it was time for the celebratory Grand Opening on 14 December! ‘We look back with satisfaction on a wonderful collaboration and hopefully look forward to the exciting projects which are still in the pipeline!’
